Slack Automation

Slack is a communication platform designed for seamless team collaboration. Moxo's integration with Slack automates communication tasks, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity. With this integration, you can automatically send messages to specific Slack channels, projects, or individuals whenever tasks are assigned or updated. Messages can be personalized to meet team needs, triggering automations at key places in the flow.

Adding the Slack Automation in Moxo

To a Flow Template or Instant Flow:

  1. Open the flow builder and navigate to the step in the flow where the automation will be added.
  2. Drag and drop Automations from the left-hand panel under Control, or click the + button between actions in the flow, and select Automation.

To a Live Flow Workspace:

  1. Open the relevant flow workspace.
  2. Click the '...' ellipses icon.
  3. Select + Add New Action from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down and select Automations under Control.
  5. Locate the area where the automation should be added, then click + Add Here.

Step 3: Add Inputs

  1. Type a personalized message to be sent when the action is triggered.
  2. Choose the Slack channel where the message will be posted.
    • Use Moxo’s enhanced DDR capability to autofill messages, responses, or text from previous flow steps, workspaces, or action details.

  3. Once the input setup is complete, click Add Automation to finalize the process.

Editing the Slack Automation

  1. Navigate to the flow template or live flow workspace containing the automation.
  2. Hover over the automation you wish to modify.

  3. Click the 'Edit' icon.

  4. Update the app, event, account, or input fields as needed.

Automations can only be edited in saved flow templates or live flow workspaces if the automation is incomplete. Once completed, the automation cannot be reopened or modified.

Best Practices

  • Pre-configure accounts and channels to ensure a smooth setup process.
  • Regularly review automations to keep them aligned with project phases or user roles.
