Connect Follow Up Boss with Moxo

Moxo's Follow Up Boss connector enables you to seamlessly log all your client interactions from Moxo directly into your CRM. This integration helps teams automatically capture workspace communication, and updates as Notes under the corresponding contacts in Follow Up Boss, keeping your CRM records fully in sync with client activity.

Once configured, Moxo automatically syncs workspace data daily, ensuring every message and client update is logged in Follow Up Boss without any manual effort.

 

Prerequisites

Before setting up the connector, ensure you have the following:

  • Access to the Moxo Admin portal with administrative access to configure connectors.
  • A valid Follow Up Boss API Key, generated from your Follow Up Boss account dashboard.
  • Contacts in Follow Up Boss with valid email addresses that match your client users in Moxo.

 

Setting up Follow Up Boss in Moxo

  1. Go to your Moxo Admin Portal.
  2. From the left-hand toolbar, navigate to Connectors.
  3. Locate and select Follow Up Boss from the list (if enabled for your organization).
  4. Click on Setup to begin configuration.
  5. You’ll be directed to the Follow Up Boss Connector Setup page, where you need to enter:
    • Sync Settings:
      • Select a time to run every day: Choose the time Moxo should perform the daily sync.
      • Select the time zone: Set your local time zone to ensure accurate scheduling.
    • Connection Details:
      • API Key: Enter the API Key obtained from your Follow Up Boss account.
        • You can find instructions for generating your API Key here.
  6. Once you’ve entered the API Key, click Test Connection to verify Moxo can connect to Follow Up Boss.
    • If successful, you’ll see a message saying “Connection Successful.”
    • If it fails, check that your API Key is valid and correctly entered, then try again.
  7. After a successful test, click Save Changes to complete the setup.

 

How does this work?

Once connected, Moxo automatically runs a daily sync job based on the time you configured. Here’s how the process works:

  1. Moxo lists all client users from your Moxo organization.
  2. It matches them with Follow Up Boss contacts by their email addresses.
  3. For each matched contact, Moxo compiles the previous 24 hours of workspace feed and conversation data into a transcript.
  4. The transcript is sent to Follow Up Boss as a new Note under that person’s record using the Follow Up Boss API.

This allows your team to review client updates from Moxo workspaces directly in your Follow Up Boss CRM.

 

Linking Moxo Workspaces with Follow Up Boss Contacts

No manual mapping is required. The connector automatically matches Moxo client users with Follow Up Boss people using email addresses.
 

For best results, ensure all client users in Moxo have the same email as their corresponding contact in Follow Up Boss.

 

Monitoring the Follow Up Boss Integration

You can track sync performance in the Moxo Admin Portal under the Follow Up Boss connector section.

The Sync History displays the last 10 days of sync logs, including:

  • Date & Time of each sync
  • Status (Success, Warning, or Error)
  • Number of Workspaces Synced
  • Number of Messages Synced
     

Click any entry to view detailed results, such as total synced workspaces and message count for that run.
