Client Distribution Lists enable organizations to personalize the client experience by tailoring Quicklinks displayed, based on the type of client. Located within the Admin section, this feature allows admins to create and manage distribution lists, ensuring clients only see the most relevant resources on their dashboards.
By aligning Quicklinks with client needs or categories, businesses can improve engagement, streamline content visibility, and enhance service delivery. Client assignments to distribution lists can be configured during onboarding via the new client invite flow or directly from the client’s profile page, making it easy to manage access.
Key Benefits
- Tailored Access: Customize Quicklinks to display only the most relevant resources for specific clients or groups.
- Admin Control: Only organization admins can create and manage distribution lists, maintaining centralized control.
- Flexible Client Assignment: Clients can be added to distribution lists during onboarding or from their profile pages.
- Bulk Management: Easily assign clients in bulk using CSV import, improving efficiency for large client bases.
This feature is available only to certain packages and not included in the standard Business package. It is disabled by default, and requires contacting Moxo to enable this functionality.
Accessing the Client Distribution List
- Navigate to the Admin section.
- From the left-side menu, select Client Distribution List.
- View existing distribution lists or proceed to create a new list by clicking New Distribution List.
- Enter the Distribution List Name and Description. Then click Next.
- Next, add clients by searching for client names, emails, or phone numbers.
- For bulk options, click Import and upload a CSV file containing client details. View the import activity to confirm successful additions.
- Once all clients are selected, click Create to finalize the distribution list.
Editing a Distribution List:
- Click on the '...' ellipses icon next to the selected distribution list.
- Select Edit Distribution List to modify its name or description.
- Click Save Changes.
- To delete the distribution list, select Delete Distribution List. Confirm the deletion by typing DELETE in all caps.
Managing Clients in a Distribution List:
- Click on the 'Clients' icon in the selected distribution list.
- Use the search bar to find and add clients.
- Remove a client by selecting the 'dropdown' icon next to their name and clicking Remove Client. Alternatively, click on the '...' ellipses icon next to the distribution list, and click Remove.
Using Distribution Lists for Quick Links:
- Navigate to the Modules tab on the left-hand menu, in the Admin portal.
- Choose the desired quick link from the client quick link section, to share with a specific distribution list.
- Click on the '...' ellipses icon next to the desired quick link. Select Edit Quick Link.
- Scroll to the Permissions section and select Specific Clients. Choose the relevant client distribution list.
- Click Save Changes.
